After Nine Years, Maid Bright Continues Helping Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Herndon, Virginia – January 23, 2021 – A local cleaning company continues to make a difference for cancer patients. Maid Bright, Inc. has partnered for nine years with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleaning.
Since 2012, Maid Bright has donated services to 24 cancer patients at a total value of $10,495 in cleanings through their partnership with the nonprofit. Understanding the importance of a clean environment while cancer patients undergo treatment, owner Yusuf Mehmetoglu remains committed to supporting families that have loved ones fighting cancer.
“Our partnership with Cleaning for a Reason allows us to assist cancer patients as they undergo grueling treatments,” stated Mehmetoglu. “There is always time and a way to help the community and those in need. We’re happy to focus on the home, while cancer patients focus on their health and families. With a compromised immune system, cancer patients need a clean, healthy, safe home. We are honored to support these households with the gift of a clean home.”
Maid Bright has agreed to help cancer patients by cleaning three homes per month for two consecutive months at no charge. The only requirement is that the homes be within the company’s existing service areas of Northern Virginia, the Washington, D.C. metro area, and Maryland.
Mehmetoglu emphasized, “At Maid Bright, we are taking the COVID-19 precautions very seriously, especially for the cancer patients we serve. No more than 10 team members are allowed masked at the office at any time. Staff have their temperature scanned daily with our state-of-art thermal scanner. We follow social distancing rules inside the office and in homes. Cleaning teams also wear disposable shoe covers, masks, and gloves when cleaning in a home.”
“We use a neutral, hospital-grade disinfectant (Spectra System 3) that is registered with the EPA on high touch surfaces in a home. We also use a new set of microfiber cleaning cloths for each home we clean. At the end of each day, the towels are laundered and sanitized at a professional facility to kill any germs or bacteria.”
