Pella, IA – August 27, 2024 – Mama Maids Cleaning Services is celebrating its second anniversary of partnering with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit organization aimed at providing free house cleaning to cancer patients across the United States and Canada.

Since 2022, Mama Maids has supported nine cancer patients with donated cleanings they valued at $3,230.

“My mother bravely battled stage 4 cancer, and through that journey, I witnessed firsthand the immense challenges that come with such a diagnosis. I know the impact that battling cancer has on the day-to-day lives of its warriors — the exhaustion, the worry and the overwhelming tasks that often fall by the wayside,” said owner and CEO Stephanie Dahm. “That’s why we’re committed to easing that burden by providing free cleaning services.”

Through their partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Mama Maids aims to continue supporting up to two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months, free of charge. This ongoing service is available to patients residing in Marion, Mahaska, Wapello, Poweshiek, Jasper and Monroe counties.
