TWO MAIDS & A MOP OF VIRGINIA BEACH MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Virginia Beach, VA – November 20, 2019 – Since its beginnings in 2017, Two Maids & A Mop of Virginia Beach has been partnered with Cleaning for a Reason, an international nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleanings. With a passion for helping families, this Two Maids & A Mop franchise has remained committed to helping cancer patients receive the gift of a clean home.
“Stuff is not important; people are important and that is why I believe in Cleaning for a Reason,” said owner Lee Sheridan of Two Maids & A Mop of Virginia Beach.
Sheridan reflected, “Harvey Mackay wrote that ‘Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back.’ For cancer patients, the gift of time is that much more priceless. Patients and their families are physically and emotionally overwhelmed and exhausted dealing with treatment and everything that comes with a cancer diagnosis. We are thrilled to focus on their homes, while they focus on recovery and precious time with family.”
Since 2017, Two Maids & A Mop of Virginia Beach has donated cleanings to 24 cancer patients with a total donated value of $7,712 in cleanings. Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Two Maids & A Mop of Virginia Beach assists cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Suffolk.
