FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE

St Louis, MO – October 8, 2021 – Two Ladies & A Bucket will be hosting their first annual Cleaning for Cancer Week during October 1115, 2021, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During this special week, the company will be donating house cleaning services to three cancer patients. Two Ladies & A Bucket does this in partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit organization that they have worked with since 2020. For the past year, Two Ladies & A Bucket has been supporting four cancer patients.

“By donating home cleanings, we ease the hearts and minds of cancer patients so they can focus on their health journey,” said Duncan. “Two Ladies & A Bucket is thrilled to give back to our community in this way. The gift of a clean home can truly bring a sense of hope and relief during this most difficult of times. As we all know from this coronavirus pandemic, a clean home is a safe, healthy home.”

Cleaning for a Reason connects with over 1,200 maid services throughout the United States and Canada, providing free house cleaning services to families battling cancer. Cleaning for a Reason is successful every year because of the people and companies that support it. There are four ways to participate with this important cause:

1. Nominate: If any cancer patient you know is currently receiving treatment, recovering from surgery, or in hospice care, and they live in the United States or Canada, please nominate them, with their permission, to have their house cleaned by a Cleaning for a Reason Partner. Any adult or child in active cancer treatment is eligible. You may fill out the application for yourself or on behalf of a friend or family member. Nominate someone for free house cleaning at cleaningforareason.org, Patients tab. Patients in the Saint Louis area may request Two Ladies & A Bucket to come clean their home.

2. Partner: More cleaning partners are needed. Residential cleaning companies are instrumental in helping Cleaning for a Reason make a positive impact. They selflessly donate their time and services to support cancer patients and their families. Learn more and join the cause at cleaningforareason.org, Cleaning Companies tab.

3. Sponsor: Support the Cleaning for a Reason mission by becoming a sponsor. Email Lucy Lee, Operations Manager at Cleaning for a Reason, at [email protected] to learn about different sponsorship opportunities.

4. Donate: You can help Cleaning for a Reason serve more cancer patients in need of this service. Every cleaning makes lives better for families during this difficult time. 2 Ladies & A Bucket has committed to raising/donating $1,000 this year to reach more patients. Make a donation to support Cleaning for a Reason families at https://connect.clickandpledge.com/Organization/cleaningforareason/campaign/cbfl2021Reader/fundraiser/SusieDuncan.

Said Duncan, “Would you consider joining me in donating whatever your heart is impressed to give? By giving, you help provide much-needed cleaning services to someone struggling to keep up with their day to day activities during this difficult time. You can also donate in honor or in memory of someone you’ve loved or lost. If you’re a cleaning company, please consider donating your services, alongside myself and 1,200 other cleaning company owners committed to making a difference.”
