Northeast Business Assists Cancer Patients Through Cleaning Program

Kansas City, MO – February 18, 2026 – Across the nation, nonprofit organization Cleaning for a Reason provides free home cleanings for those battling cancer and one local business owner has recently partnered with this organization to provide additional services in the greater Kansas City area.
Kathleen “Kiki” Swift founded Swift Cleaning Pros in January 2025, offering professional cleaning services for homes and businesses. While attending a convention in Dallas last November, she attended a presentation for ISSA Charities, the charitable arm of the Association for Cleaning & Facility Solutions. After a presentation about Cleaning for a Reason, which partners with 1400 residential cleaners throughout the United States and Canada, Swift knew that this program was something she wanted to support.
In a testimonial published by ISSA Charities, Swift stated, “Helping people who are going through some of the roughest and scariest times of their lives and actually delivering a service that they need and that will help them feel better makes me feel better. I love that I can use the skills that I have in creating clean, healthy spaces to help others too.”
Swift manages a team of four cleaners and donates her services to two Cleaning for a Reason referrals per month, each referral receives a total of two cleanings, one per month for two months. During each free 3-hour cleaning, the recipient can decide which cleaning task is most important for them, from laundry to kitchen or bath deep cleans.
Cleaning for a Reason offers these cleanings to any household experiencing cancer, from diagnosis to treatment to cure, regardless of age, gender or type of cancer.
Founded in 2009, this program has assisted more than 64,000 cancer patients and provided over $23 million in donated services through partnerships with cleaning professionals.
