FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOCAL COMPANY COMMITTED TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Shaker Heights, OH – June 10, 2021 – Under new ownership, Maidbrite, LLC continues its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. Owner MaRiahh Walker (pictured with the pink hair) is committed to making a difference for families in the community and wants to continue their reach to helping cancer patients.
“Our company has a history of giving back to the community through Cleaning for a Reason,” said Walker. “In 2016, at just 16 years old, I started out as a cleaner for Maidbrite and have since cleaned for many cancer patients through the program. Raised to be charitable, generous, and empathetic, I’ve always felt so happy to help those who really need assistance. In 2021, when I took over ownership of Maidbrite, I knew I would continue the partnership to support cancer patients and their families in their hour of need. During COVID-19, we expanded our services to clean for health. We are not only cleaning, but also sanitizing for a clean, safe, healthy home for all of our clients and especially the cancer patients.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Maidbrite supports two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the eastern suburbs of northeast Ohio: Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, Cleveland, University Heights, South Euclid, Lyndhurst, Richmond Heights, Euclid, Highland Heights, Mayfield, Beachwood, Orange, Pepper Pike, Gates Mills, Moreland Hills, Chagrin Falls, and Solon.
About Maidbrite, LLC
Maidbrite is the result of the ingenuity and entrepreneurial skills of founder, Mary Jo Dean. In 1988, Dean recognized that a cleaning company would meet a myriad of needs: for good, personable, reliable cleaning services for area residents; for flexible, respectful employment; and for a livelihood for herself that would fulfill her own ambition and skills. In those early years, Dean ran and managed the company from her apartment and cleaned homes alongside a handful of part-time employees.
Now 32 years later, Maidbrite employs 10 to 15 full and part-time workers and services over 200 homes in the Heights and surrounding areas. As of Jan 1, 2021, Dean handed Maidbrite over to her capable and diligent daughter, MaRiahh Walker, who has actually worked at Maidbrite since 2016. Walker worked her way up, starting as a supply and inventory worker, to a house cleaner, then an office assistant, an office manager, and finally the CEO and owner of Maidbrite.
Maidbrite equally values its customers and employees. Customers know they can depend on consistently outstanding, personable, and reliable service, and employees enjoy benefits not often available in the cleaning industry—retirement plans, personal loans, paid vacations, and a bonus program.
