FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY HAS A HEART FOR CANCER
Acworth, GA – September 30, 2019 – A local business owner is a four-year cancer survivor and remains committed to helping other cancer patients. For the past two years, Maid in America has been partnered with Cleaning For A Reason, a nonprofit serving those in cancer treatment through the gift of a clean home.
“In 2015, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and soon realized the important role that a clean environment plays in health,” said owner Vicky Bates. “When I discovered that 80 percent of breast cancers are related to environmental influences, I quickly implemented non-toxic GREEN products.” Eager to help other families impacted by cancer, Bates partnered with nonprofit Cleaning For A Reason.
Since 2017, Maid in America has helped a total of 26 cancer patients with donated house cleanings valued at $5,824. Through partnership with Cleaning For A Reason, Maid in America works with cancer patients to clean at least two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Northwest Georgia counties of Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding, Bartow, and Douglas.
