LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Acworth, GA – September 15, 2021 – Maid in America has been donating home cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past four and a half years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason.
With a passion for cleaning and helping fellow cancer patients, Maid in America owner Vicky Bates has supported a total of 38 cancer patients with a donated value of $8,759 in cleanings. Her story began in 2015 when she herself was diagnosed with breast cancer and soon realized the important role that a clean environment plays in health.
“When I discovered that 80 percent of breast cancers are related to environmental influences, I quickly implemented non-toxic green products,” said Bates. Eager to help other families impacted by cancer, she partnered with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason.
“Since my personal breast cancer diagnosis, I have been honored to give back to my local community through Cleaning for a Reason. It has been a part of my journey to share with families, especially the women going through breast cancer, how important a clean home is to their recovery as well as reducing stress levels. When we can take away the burden of cleaning, we know that family can focus on the healing of their loved one.” |
Through the partnership with Cleaning for a Reason. Maid in America supports two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Northwest Georgia counties of Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding, Douglas, and South Bartow.
