Julie’s Cleaning & Organizing Making a Difference for Women With Cancer

Mohnton, Pennsylvania – April 1, 2014 – Julie’s Cleaning & Organizing, LLC is a one woman cleaning company with more than 16 years of experience cleaning and a lifetime of experience organizing that has teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit foundation. The company is dedicated to helping make family life easier and focuses on giving great quality services.
Owner Julie Welch states, “I joined Cleaning For A Reason because I want to help women who have more to worry about than cleaning their house. Women battling cancer should not have to look at a dirty bathroom or walk on a dirty floor. They should be able to focus on their health. I want to give back to my community and live my life with meaning.”
National Cleaning For A Reason Week is April 18–24, and Welch wants to help raise awareness of this foundation. There is still a great need for more cleaning providers to join the cause of helping women battling cancer through free house cleaning. Cleaning For A Reason provides a practical service to these women that benefits not only the patients, but also their families that often become the main caregiver. Welch also states that, “I would love to inspire others to make donations to Cleaning For A Reason.”
Julie’s Cleaning & Organizing will launch a campaign—“Where Is Penelope Now?”— to begin on April 18 to help kick off this amazing week of awareness for the foundation. Penelope is a white piggy bank with green and pink polka dots and a sweet green bow atop of her head. She will be traveling around Berks County to help raise awareness and money for Cleaning For A Reason. Pictures of Penelope will be taken en route by superimposing her image onto scenic backgrounds, places of interest, local businesses, etc. These pictures will then be posted on social media.
The company has agreed to help women battling cancer by cleaning two homes per month for four consecutive months at no charge. The only requirement is that the homes be within the company’s existing service areas in Southern Berks County, including areas of Mohnton, Wyomissing, Reading, West Reading, Exeter, Sinking Spring, Shillington, Elverson, and Denver.
