FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
GRAKEI MAIDS PROMOTES CLEANING FOR A REASON WEEK
Fredericton, New Brunswick – April 2, 2020 – Local company Grakei Maids, LLC has been donating cleaning services to cancer patients for the past seven years through its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free house cleaning. Grakei Maids wants to bring heightened awareness of the cause to Dane County during National Cleaning For A Reason Week, April 18-24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer.
Said owner Laura Barnard, “Since teaming up with Cleaning for a Reason in 2013, Grakei Maids has helped a total of 35 cancer patients, donating 415 labor hours of free cleanings valued at over $14,500 worth of services. I am proud of the difference Grakei Maids has made in our community and am committed to helping many more families battling cancer in their hour of need.”
“I was drawn to Cleaning for a Reason because it is a non-profit that genuinely helps people living with cancer,” said Barnard. “Life for a cancer patient is very hectic and exhausting and house cleaning is low on the priority list. It takes a lot of energy and motivation to clean under such circumstances. That’s when our amazing staff steps in to bring the practical support and peace of mind patients need.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Grakei Maids works with cancer patients to clean at least two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Greater Madison Area, which includes Cottage Grove, Fitchburg, Mc Farland, Madison, Maple Bluff, Middleton, Monona, Oregon, Sun Prairie, Verona, Waunakee, and Westport.
