Edmond, OK – September 28, 2024 – Josh and Wendy Dodson, longtime residents of Edmond, were looking for a way to flex their entrepreneurial muscles, while finding a way to balance their work and family life.
When they were presented with the opportunity to open a new franchise location of Home Clean Heroes, a light went on: this was a way they could be business owners, serve the community they love, and also have a schedule that gives them more time to be together as a family.
The company is part of the Buzz Franchise Brands family and there are currently 21 franchises across 13 states. The Dodson’s just opened their location – the first in all of Oklahoma – at the beginning of September and so far, there has been a growing excitement for their services.
Home Clean Heroes specializes in safe, reliable, and customizable cleaning services. Whether it’s one-time house cleaning services or regular cleaning, the team recognizes that each household has a preference on ‘how’ they like their house cleaned. They work with clients to hear what their unique preferences are, so they can clean the home exactly how they like it.”
We really like taking care of people,” Josh said. “That’s how I’ve been training our employees – we’re here to do an excellent service, we’re in people’s homes and we take pride in the quality we’re giving people. We’re committed to helping our customers reclaim their time for what matters most to them. We have a young daughter and so we understand how big it can be to have an extra hand or just find a way to take a little off the plate, like cleaning the house.”
But one of the most unique parts of Home Clean Heroes is its mission to support first responders with every home cleaned. The company’s national partner is First Responders Children’s Foundation, which supports the kids and families of first responder heroes. A portion of every cleaning fee goes directly to local first responders, then customers can ‘round up’ or add an additional donation to their cleaning price.
“Our primary goal for this location is to bring something unique to Oklahoma that truly meets the needs of our community while giving back,” Josh shared. “Both of our backgrounds are in customer service and with me having served in the military. It’s also vital to us that we aim to make a positive impact by supporting our first responders…this mission drives everything we do and reinforces our dedication to both our customers and the community.”
In addition to this initiative, Josh shared that they are also involved in Cleaning for a Reason, which provides free house cleaning services to cancer patients, and Heroes Fighting Hunger, which helps tackle food security in the area. Looking at the future, there is much to be excited about – not just helping keep people’s homes clean and healthy but helping bring hope and light to people’s lives.
Josh said, “We do pride ourselves in being humble folks, but we have a competitive heart. We would love to lead the way with the highest support for the Heroes First initiative. We would love to show the other Home Clean Heroes franchisees how strong Oklahomans are at coming together to support local first responders. Our goal is to foster strong relationships and make a lasting, positive impact on the communities we serve.”
