Cleaning For A Reason at Annual Unity in Communities Luncheon
Yesterday, Cleaning For A Reason went to the Annual Unity in Communities Luncheon in Highland Village. The luncheon is an annual event hosted by the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce and the Highland Village Business Association that is designed to assist nonprofits in the area. Additionally, every year they nominate a nonprofit for Nonprofit of the Year. We saw many great people there including JaLynn West from Community Magazine, Lori Fickling from Communities In Schools of North Texas, Max Miller from the Cross Timbers Gazzette, the newly accredited Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce (Congrats!) and many others from the community.
Debbie and I had the first booth when you walked in. Our lucky spot kept us very busy promoting Cleaning For A Reason! (Picture courtesy of JaLynn West from Community Magazine)
The winner of the 2011 Non-Profit of the Year was SPAN, Inc. which specializes in providing services to the elderly in Denton County. They do great work and are very deserving of the award. It was a great time and we look forward to going next year!
