How does Cleaning for a Reason make an impact?

I am fortunate to have friends offer meals, rides to chemo, and house cleaning. However, a friend cleaning my home is not a favor I felt comfortable accepting. I did not want friends scrubbing my toilets! And I cannot afford professional home cleaning. Thank you for this service.

I had a stem cell transplant and was not allowed by the doctors to vacuum or dust or clean the bathrooms. I didn't know what to do as finding and affording a cleaning service seemed impossible with my financial situation. Cleaning for a Reason helped me!  
Cleaning makes a big difference when you're dealing with cancer. You have to have your house cleaned of fungus, dust, germs, and bacteria. You never know when you might get an infection that you can't fight off.

FUNDRAISER IN A BOX

Our newly created Fundraiser in a Box facilitates raising money and awareness for Cleaning for a Reason. They include a set of materials that can be used to organize and promote a fundraising event, like promotional materials and donation links that can be used to educate people about the cause and encourage them to donate. The box also includes instructions and tips on how to organize a successful fundraising event, special promotions, discounts and other incentives to encourage donations and promote Cleaning for a Reason.

SPRING CLEANING FOR A REASON

By hosting a Spring Cleaning for a Reason garage sale, sometimes called a ‘Name Your Price’ sale, you are able to raise money for a worthy cause while providing an opportunity for people to declutter and find new homes for their unwanted items. By passing out information about Cleaning for a Reason, you are able to educate people about the cause and encourage them to donate. The sale is usually held in someone’s garage, driveway, or yard, but it can also be held at a community center or church.

Involving family, friends, and clients in the event by asking them to bring items to be sold and encouraging them to donate items they no longer need can also help in increasing the turnout and the amount of money raised. By adding refreshment options such as water, beverages, cookies, popcorn and/or hotdogs, you can donate the proceeds to help reach your fundraising goal.
