LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Markham, Ontario – January 29, 2025 – The Cleaning Authority of Markham, Vaughan, and Toronto East is proud to partner with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free house cleaning services to cancer patients across Canada and the United States. Through this partnership, The Cleaning Authority is expanding its community engagement efforts, offering meaningful support to cancer patients and their families as they navigate treatment, recovery, or hospice care.
“Joining a charity that supports cancer patients was a deeply personal decision for us,” shared owner Angela Moore. “Having lost my aunt and other beloved family members to this relentless disease, we understand the profound impact cancer has on individuals and their loved ones. By contributing to this cause, we aim to honor their memories while providing hope and relief to those currently battling cancer. Our commitment to this charity reflects our desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, ensuring they have the care and support they need during such challenging times.”
Through this partnership, The Cleaning Authority of Markham, Vaughan, and Toronto East provides complimentary home cleaning services to two cancer patients each month for two consecutive months. This ongoing service is available to cancer patients residing in Markham, Vaughan, Toronto (East of Bayview), and Pickering.
The Cleaning Authority’s Corporate Franchise Partnership with Cleaning for a Reason underscores its deep commitment to supporting cancer patients in need. Since joining forces in 2009, franchise locations have provided free house cleanings to 1,558 cancer patients, delivering services valued at $596,544. Through this partnership, The Cleaning Authority continues to uphold its mission of creating clean, healthy living environments, allowing patients to focus on their health and recovery.
About The Cleaning Authority of Markham, Vaughan, and Toronto East
Founded in 1977, The Cleaning Authority franchise specializes in residential house cleaning services across the United States and Canada, with over 220 franchise locations. Angela Moore and Mike Rowlandson purchased The Cleaning Authority franchise in Markham in 2013 and have since expanded their premium cleaning services to Toronto East and Vaughan. While primarily serving residential clients, the franchise also provides cleaning services for select office spaces.
Committed to delivering exceptional quality and customer service, the team follows a structured approach using the Detail-Clean Rotation System in conjunction with a Professional House Cleaning Checklist. This method divides the home into zones, ensuring a rotating deep-cleaning schedule so that every area receives thorough attention at the right frequency. All cleaning crews undergo professional training, and customer satisfaction is a top priority, with re-cleaning offered the next day if necessary.
The Markham office is managed by Natasha Kroon, the franchise’s third employee, while Donna Ward oversees operations in Toronto after joining the team during the expansion into that territory. Learn more about the company at thecleaningauthority.ca/markham.
