Cancer Patients Rely on Local Two Maids & A Mop Franchise
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TWO MAIDS & A MOP OF VIRGINIA BEACH, CHESAPEAKE, AND NORFOLK MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Virginia Beach, VA – January 19, 2022 – For the past five years, Two Maids & A Mop of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk has been a proud partner of Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleanings. Cleaning for a Reason’s goal is to let these brave and strong cancer patients focus on their health and treatment, while participating maid services focus on, and take away the worry and work of, cleaning their homes—free of charge.
“When we opened in 2017, we started immediately with Cleaning for a Reason,” said Lee Sheridan, owner of this Two Maids & A Mop location. “We enjoy meeting the cancer patients and we enjoy providing any assistance we can so they can focus on getting well. We have all been impacted by cancer so this has become an important part of who we are as a company and our internal culture.”
Since 2017, Two Maids & A Mop of Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk has donated cleanings to 49 cancer patients with a total donated value of $14,060 in cleanings.
Sheridan commented, “I decided to buy this franchise because in my former corporate job, I lost a lot of time with those most important to me. I’m thrilled to provide a maid service that can also give families some of that time back. The last thing I wanted to do after traveling all week was to clean the house. I believe this is especially true for cancer patients and their families. We’re thrilled to ease their load and give them more quality time with those who matter most.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, this local franchise assists cancer patients by cleaning three homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Suffolk.
