Cancer Patients Receive Gift of a Clean Home From Lucky Duck Cleaning Co.

Kawartha Lakes, ON – April 13, 2026 – It’s Cleaning for a Reason month and Lucky Duck Cleaning Co. is proud to announce its partnership with the nonprofit dedicated to providing free home cleaning services to those battling cancer. Owner Jennifer Browning was inspired to join the mission after witnessing the impact of cancer within her own family.
“Cancer has touched my family deeply, from both of my grandparents to a close family member currently facing their own battle,” said Browning. “Last year, I took some time away from work to focus on being there for my family during that difficult time. That experience changed my perspective, and I am now returning to the workforce with a renewed sense of purpose.
Witnessing these journeys firsthand made me realize how overwhelming daily life becomes during treatment—sometimes, even asking for help feels like too much to handle. This is why I’ve decided to partner with Cleaning for a Reason. I want to give back to our community by volunteering my time to provide free home cleaning for those who simply don’t have the energy to worry about chores while they focus on their health. Helping others in my spare time is incredibly fulfilling, and I’m looking forward to a year of making a difference and meeting new people.”
Through this partnership, Lucky Duck Cleaning Co. is providing two local cancer patients each month with two consecutive months of complimentary professional home cleaning. These services are available to residents throughout Kawartha Lakes, helping ease the burden of maintaining a home during treatment and recovery so patients can focus on their health and well-being.
