NATIONAL CLEANING FOR A REASON WEEK, APRIL 18-24
St. Louis, MO – April 29, 2020 – The Cleaning Authority of Concord has been donating cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past eight years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Since 2012, The Cleaning Authority of Concord has helped a total of 98 cancer patients with a donated value of $30,542 in cleanings. In 2018, the Concord franchise was a Top 10 Partner for most cancer patients served with the program.
Owners Mike and Michelle Weintz want to bring heightened awareness of the cause to the area during Cleaning for a Reason Week, April 18-24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer to receive the gift of a clean home.
“Cleaning for a Reason gives us the opportunity to provide a positive impact on the world, specifically to those families waging a fight against cancer,” said Michael Weintz. “One of our four core values is ‘we make a difference in our community,’ and Cleaning for a Reason allows us to do just that. Our employees love participating in this program and doing what they do best to help cancer patients in their hour of need.”
Said Michelle Weintz, “We use eco-friendly cleaning products, but, in light of the COVID-19 situation, have adjusted cleaning methods to include EPA-registered disinfectants. We have also put in place CDC-advised protocols, including wearing masks and gloves, handwashing between tasks, cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas, and practicing social distancing in the home during cleanings.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, The Cleaning Authority of Concord assists cancer patients by cleaning up to 15 homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in most of the St. Louis metro area south of I-44 and most of the Illinois portion of the St. Louis metro area.
