Lutz, FL – March 31, 2020 – Local cleaning franchise Two Maids & A Mop of Pasco County has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleanings. Owners Sterling Birdsong and Sherman Milton III are committed to making a difference for families in the community and want to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.

“It’s been said that a clean home makes you feel better,” said Sherman Milton III. “We want to be part of the support team to help cancer patients during this difficult time. We are big on giving back to our local community so teaming up with this cause was a perfect fit.”

Through partnership with the nonprofit, Two Maids & A Mop of Pasco County assists cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Pasco County, Lutz, and Cheval.

Said Sterling Birdsong, “By improving people’s lives one person at a time, one day at a time, and one project at a time, you can make a difference that will leave a lasting impact on the world.”

About Two Maids & A Mop of Pasco County
Two Maids & A Mop of Pasco County is owned by close friends and business partners Sterling Birdsong and Sherman Milton III. Birdsong and Milton met during their college days when they were both students at Saint Leo University. A friendship born in Pasco County would soon turn into a business born in Pasco County, but first each partner would go their own way and find success in the “real world.”

Upon graduating from Saint Leo University in 2012 with a degree in Entrepreneurship, Birdsong went into the banking industry where he continues to work today. Birdsong is now a commercial lender in the Tampa Bay market.

Milton would graduate one year later in 2013, with a degree in Marketing. He then went to work in the corporate world for a few years before switching to Real Estate and becoming a REALTOR®. Sherman now specializes in residential real estate in Pasco and Hillsborough County. He was recently elected as a Director of The Greater Tampa REALTORS® making him one of the youngest directors on the board.

Birdsong and Milton’s paths would cross again in 2019 when unbeknownst to one another both were searching for their first entrepreneurial venture. Milton reached out to Birdsong requesting information about a loan to acquire a business. It was at this point that everything clicked. Birdsong told Milton that if they partnered up, they could go further together. Milton agreed, and thus a partnership was formed.

After months of searching for the right opportunity, Birdsong and Milton found Two Maids & A Mop, an innovative cleaning franchise with over 70 locations in 25 states. They were both intrigued with the franchise’s Pay For Performance Plan, where the client’s feedback directly determines the cleaning techs level of compensation for each job. Two Maids & A Mop is also certified to use eco-friendly and hospital grade disinfectants so that clients know their homes are well cleaned every time. The franchise has been recognized by Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, INC 500, Better Homes and Gardens, Inc. CNN Money, and Yahoo News. For more information about this company, go to
